Probability of resistance as estimated by the antimicrobial resistance index (ARI) as reported for Escherichia coli isolates from urinary tract infections in retired patients (Belgium 2005), when varying the proportion of injectable (% non-oral) prescriptions and the number of preceding prescriptions. Estimates were obtained using the final generalized estimating equations (GEE) model (fitted for a female patient that was alive at the end of the study and was tested 33 (median) days after her antibiotic prescription in lab 15)
