The TPB framework for antibiotic prescribing practice in primary care. Antibiotic prescribing practice is influenced by behavioral intentions and the perceived behavioral control of the prescribers based on the theory of planned behaviors, with the former serving as a motivational factor while the latter reflecting the ability of the prescribers to fulfill their intentions. Attitudes, subjective norms and perceived behavioral controls are linked to each other and they can influence the behavioral intentions of the prescribers
