Vancomycin-resistant E. faecium stratified into age and gender. Vancomycin-resistant E. faecium (VREF) as a proportion (%) of all E. faecium isolates with corresponding 95% confidence intervals from male and female patients stratified into age categories. Proportions of VREF between female and male were compared using the Pearson χ2 test with the Rao-Scott second-order correction in different age groups. The resulting p-values were adjusted for multiple testing using a Bonferroni correction. P-values ≤0.05 are indicated with an “*”.
