  1. The highest procedure-specific incidence of S. aureus SSI can be reported in minimally invasive surgery on the bile duct, followed by laparoscopic local excision of the small intestine. Category-specific incidence was highest in caesarean sections, followed by operations on scull, brain, meninges and open repair of a fractured long tubular bone.
